DUMLAB began on a repair bench — hunting down dead motherboards, corrupted drives and flaky routers across Delhi NCR. Every fix taught us something about how consumer electronics actually fail in Indian homes, on Indian grids. Eventually the question changed from “what’s broken?” to “why was this built to break?” That question became the Relay Mini — and the same lab still does both jobs today.

Traditional smart switchboards bury everything on one board. We split the mains electronics from the user-facing controls, connected by a simple interconnect, so the face can be replaced without an electrician.
